I. Log Files
Readefine follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
II. What kinds of information do we collect?
To provide the Readefine experience, we process the websites that you visit. Readefine collects the text data on any website that you visit and processes that text. It is therefore possible that some of the information that we process could be used to identify you. However, we only store information about you if you choose to log in with your Google account, and the only information we store is the websites that you block Readefine from running on, your custom Readefine dictionary, your email address, and your name.
III. How do we use that information?
We use the information we collect to deliver our product. The Readefine software sends your information to our servers to process your information, and then sent back to the program. When we store some of your information, including the websites you disable Readefine on and your personal Readefine dictionary, we do so to sync your information across computers (so if you access Readefine on another computer, it'll work just as it did on the first computer.
IV. How is this information shared?
Your information is sent to our server where it is securely processed and returned back to you. None of the information that you provide is ever shared with third-parties.
V. How will we notify you of changes to this policy?
We will update this policy as our business needs and applicable laws demand. We will keep our dedication to keeping your information private, and we will notify you by email of any significant changes that affect your privacy rights.
